Our organization
Founded in 2022, SpeakUp is a student-led, Connecticut-based nonprofit organization dedicated to creating more diverse and accessible spaces for discourse. But what is discourse anyway?

Discourse is open-minded, collaborative conversation - meaning it can be applied anywhere. Whether in the classroom, on the court, or at the dinner table, discourse has the power to connect us on a deeper level. To engage in discourse is to be an analytical, empathetic, and unprejudiced speaker, all traits SpeakUp emphasizes through our variety of programs.
